You are not alone.
Motherhood isn’t as perfect as most pictures and status updates on Facebook would lead you to believe. At times, it’s filled with tears and self-doubt. Most of the time, however, motherhood consists of tiny moments of grace within a day full of chaos.
You, my dear, are not alone on this journey! Please listen when we tell you that asking for help isn’t a sign of failure, it’s actually a sign of strength.
It is okay to cry.
It is okay to vent.
It is okay to slow down and admit you’re only human.
It is completely acceptable to not live up to the outrageous expectations you’ve placed upon yourself.
You are doing more than you realize, and it is enough.
Now, motherhood is challenging in and of itself but add being a plus mommy or plus size mom, and the journey comes with extra hurdles.
You wonder if other moms are judging you as you feed your kids fast food. Maybe you needed a break and your kids needed to expend some energy in the play area. Or maybe you just didn’t feel like cooking. (Been there! Not judging!)
Then, as you watch your little ones having a blast, you question what you’ll do if they refuse to come down from their plastic utopia. Surely you’ll have to climb up in there to retrieve them… Will you get stuck? Will others laugh?
These are true fears plus size moms face. At plus mommy, we face them together.
Here, you’ll find community!
