Definitely contact your selected cruise line for what accommodations they provide for people with different abilities.

This is a great blog/podcast topic! However, as an experienced plus size cruiser myself, I have to firmly disagree with the packing advice.
I know a lot of people do over pack, however, I personally go through far more clothes while on a cruise than I ever would at home, 2-3 outfits per day, at least.
The number one reason for this is as a plus size woman, I tend to sweat more - it's just a fact of life. It's especially true in the Caribbean where it's hot and humid! It is simply unrealistic to assume that you will be able to wear an item of clothing twice while on your cruise in my opinion, except for maybe a formal dress. Instead of rotating clothing, I am sure to pack a day outfit and an evening outfit for each day/night of the cruise, including all undergarments - they get the sweatiest!
Typically my husband and I will each pack our own large suitcase, then pack our formal wear into one hanging garment bag - a total of 3 bags between us. I also love rolling up my clothing and putting it into packing cubes, but to each their own :)
The one thing I will say is that I'm a lot more relaxed when I'm on a cruise because I don't know anyone except my husband! I will wear tank tops and sports bras with no shame for my arms. I would much rather save space by taking fewer layers and sticking to tank tops than by not having a fresh piece of clothing for each day.

As a side note - we've never had any issues with bathrooms and we've only sailed with showers with the doors. We also have done almost all cruise line sold excursions and have never experienced something like a bus or van that was too small for us. But maybe we just got lucky!
All in all - go cruising! We love it! One of the most size-friendly ways to vacation!
